Ralphie ★ Posted January 15 Share #1 Posted January 15 I’d guess around 30-50% or so. Not counting sleeping. It is like Muzak, when everything else gets quiet I can hear it playing. It can multitask too, ie it is playing as I post.
Road Runner Posted January 15 Share #2 Posted January 15 Almost never these days. My brian has enough trouble just trying to keep up with my movements from room to room and trying to remember what I was doing or what I was looking for. He can't be distracted with stupid music. 1 1

MoseySusan ★ Posted January 15 Share #4 Posted January 15 A lot. mr. and I have been doing this fun call and response with a line from a Cranberries song… after one of us asks for something, the other replies with the line That is what I do, sung in O’Riordan’s brogue. 1
maddmaxx ★ Posted January 15 Share #5 Posted January 15 I'd estimate the full 100%. I think it's the bells of St. Marys.

Airehead ★ Posted January 15 Share #7 Posted January 15 Sometimes it is a loud distraction. Other times, I do not hear it at all.

Perfect name for that group. Her voice is VERY cranberry-ish. Very tart. “And yer bombs…”

JerrySTL ★ Posted January 15 Share #10 Posted January 15 About 25%. It would be more if those other voices wouldn't interrupt.
groupw Posted January 15 Share #11 Posted January 15 A large percentage even during sleep. I have woken with songs stuck in my head apparently from a dream. For some reason I have the song “Zombie” stuck in my head in my heeeaadd…
shootingstar Posted January 15 Share #12 Posted January 15 I don't have any tune in my head 98%. Only briefly certain times when I'm remembering someone I loved. I'm more visual what I imagine/think ....for past few wks., I've had some intense highly visual dreams at night, that became emotionally charged. Not sure....but it may be an enormous catharsis going on. THis is why I love cycling...the scenery is unfolding differently around, you every few minutes. Cycling is a highly tactile, sensory and visual experience. Some times I imagine this what I will remember near end of life... THose incredible sensations when it's a fantastic day/scenery to be cycling through.

MickinMD ★ Posted January 16 Share #20 Posted January 16 I occasionally hear one when I'm relaxing and not concentrating on anything. The exception is when I'm working a couple hours/day on some piano piece. Key parts keep jumping into my head. Lately, there's one I keep thinking of because it's often in a TV commercial, frequently heard of CNBC: Mozart's Sonata in A Major, K331, playing in the background. It's one of the pieces I have been planning to work on because it's nice and slow for the first 50 seconds, then fast, then slow, and that fits my progress in restoring my piano skills. I have the Masterwork (authentic, researched original) sheet music and a video of a Russian virtuosa playing it showing her hands and arms. My late Chinese piano teacher was originally taught by a Russian and taught the now-favored-worldwide Russian Method of efficient movement in playing, so the video helps me see where my hands and arms should be.
12string Posted January 16 Share #21 Posted January 16 A lot. It would be more pleasant if I could teach all those voices how to harmonize. Or even all sing the same song at the same time. 1
