A Scout is Relevant

I wonder how soon after manufacture that picture of a scout was taken?  Mine was rusting out within two years. The ones the mill bought rusted out sooner than that. Since theirs never left the mill they could drive them with huge holes in the fenders. When they quit driving them there was almost no body left.

I would imagine that it has either been stored in a garage and not driven since the day it came home, or it is on it's 3rd restoration by now.

I think even if stored in a garage since new it would still be on it’s third restoration by now. Some of them rusted out on the way home from the dealership.

If you like Scouts. you should check out 406 Garage on youtube.  He has some amazing ones.  

There is one not far from my house that I would love to restore.  It is a 4 door with a truck bed.  It 's pretty far gone though.  Those things were great vehicles but they rusted apart far before they broke down.
