This Is Embarrassing To Admit

...but I will anyway.

Last night, my wife and I were browsing our Netflix queue, and we spotted a movie where we both said, "We never finished that" so we thought we would restart it and see if we could fast forward a bit.  In any case, every 10 minutes or so we would say "I vaguely remember this, so let's keep watching".  At about the 80% point, we both realized we HAD watched to the END, and NEITHER of us could REMEMBER any of the details.

WTF?

What movie was it? Was it good or bad? I frequently forget the outcomes of bad movies. Or fall asleep watching them and don’t feel badly about doing so.

Carrie Pilby. Actually, not a "bad" movie. Just, apparently, not memorable.  We asked each other if maybe we had been drinking when we watched it, but if that was the case, there is no way we would have both gotten to the end of the movie, and we both remembered it (as it unfolded again).

What’s it about?

I am jealous of WoW’s ability to completely forget movies. She can see one 10 times and it’s like the first time for her. Movies worth watching again I usually remember in great detail. I can still enjoy them, but the surprises are fewer.

No one has solved this yet?     It's called getting old.

WoBG and I watch lots of movies...   we have noticed the same thing about some movies.   Not too often (but often enough) we will be watching a movie and I KNOW we have seen the movie before, but neither one of us can remember how it ends.  So we just watch till the end and hope we remember it in the future.

You may, though, be watching a Hallmark movie, in which case it is likely it is close, but not quite identical, to the other ten Hallmark movies you watched.

A few years ago....  WoBG didn't have ANY idea what to buy me for Christmas.  She had the idea...  there was a shirt that she gave me in the past, still new and wrapped up in the closet.  (I have way too many shirts)  Anyway...  she wrapped the shirt and give me the shirt for Christmas.   I open the present.... and looked at it....  :scratchhead:  "So how many times are you going to give me the same shirt?"   She expected my failing memory to forget about the shirt.  Nope...  I remembered.  :D
