Popular Post TrentonMakes Posted January 19 Popular Post Share #1 Posted January 19 ...tomorrow - first since my illness (I'm still coughing a bit, and things still taste funny, but doing OK otherwise). If I can get the 2023 season started with at least 10 miles I'll be happy. My weight is coming back up, but s-l-o-w-l-y.... I was still down at 233 this morning (compared to 251 around December 15). (not that I pay much attention to BMI, but that's a "healthy" 24.4...) On the bike, I expect I may see a benefit related to carrying around less weight... and an impact in the loss of my leg muscles. Kind of eager to see which one wins. 6

Bikeguy Posted January 20 Share #8 Posted January 20 Have fun on your ride. It's too cold (for me) here 34 for a high tomorrow. 2 hours ago, TrentonMakes said: I was still down at 233 this morning (not that I pay much attention to BMI, but that's a "healthy" 24.4...) Popular Post TrentonMakes Posted January 22 Author Popular Post Share #10 Posted January 22 So i did not get in a ride on Friday (decided it was too windy) or Saturday (decided I was too busy). But i just got in from 8 miles, that felt pretty good but definitely slow. Toward the end the cold was aggravating my cough, but I still would have stayed out for ten if it didn't start sleeting. About to warm up with some tea. 2 2 1

When I got off the drug I was taking my strength came back quickly. 2 1

I generally stand through that and I felt that little grade more than I ever have. As i got warmed up, some of the steeper hills felt more normal.

I made dinner tonight - real cooking, not just heating up stuff from the freezer - and between that and the bike ride I am wiped.
