Kirby ★ Posted January 20 Share #1 Posted January 20 Alan Page's art exhibit with slavery and segregation related art and historical objects (the Testify exhibit) is back on display at the main Minneapolis library. Do you know anyone who saw it when it was originally on display a few years ago? I have to admit that I'm more interested in the exhibit just because he's such an impressive person and I admire his career and charitable work. https://www.mprnews.org/episode/2023/01/13/alan-page-brings-back-testify-exhibit-to-spark-conversations-on-race
shootingstar Posted January 20 Share #2 Posted January 20 I find it interesting the display is at the public library. Those artifacts locally, are valuable (though I realize they are "recent"/not so long ago) and should be displayed with presumably behind glass cases with security cameras and all. Alot of public libraries can't quite afford sophisticated camera systems...like a professionally run museum. I'm glad the library director is giving space and time.
