When was the last time you had a beer?

Right now. I made stir fry with leftover filling and vegetables. Pork and shrimp with onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms, and bok choy. I ate a bowl and packed three servings for later this week. Quite good. The beer is Post Shift from Jack’s Abbey brewing. A nice Pilsner that paired well with next-day stir fry.

We go to one of their restaurants when visiting the area. So good…

They do a good job of integrating the old & the new. They really work with the history of the property. And then add the murals & extra decorations. They are a real treasure

Two 24 oz. Sam Adams 24 oz. drafts Friday night at a restaurant.

Before that it was probably a couple beers on Christmas Eve.

Most of my beer drinking occurs with steamed crabs in the summer.

Otherwise, I tend to sip some red wine (Cabernet, Beaulolais, etc.) once in a while with pieces of cheese and summer sausage.

I had 2 on Sat.  Party after G's senior night.  A local pizza place had a back room party for the seniors and parents.

I have really gotten away from beer.  A little bourbon with some diet coke is my go-to these days.  Or just a little bourbon.

Does a Guinness in the Irish stew count?

No.

Cold beer down your gullet is the only thing that counts.  Maybe you could freeze some stew and send it here and I will reevaluate.

I had half a beer while I made dinner Sunday, and the other half after our son went to bed.

It has been a mostly dry January - I think two beers and two half-glasses of wine.

Still got five bottles of Mad Elf - I think one of those would knock me on my ass at this point.

Is he even a "cold" beer sort of guy?

Sure, although he may like his beer warmer than the coldest of Zimas.  Colder than room temperature works, too.

I do like cold beer, even for the high-falutin' beer that beersnob jackholes like Mittens and Soy prefer.  They can start cold and mellow into a morphy beer as the tempurature changes, that is kinda fun, too, like you are getting two beers for one.
