Here’s what’s in my mind. WoPTJ is adjusting to the diabeetus lifestyle. But, her blood sugar, while in the healthy range, will drop below the alert levels and the alarm will sound. This happens four to six times a day. She is eating better but it seems to be an ongoing process, eating something every two hours to keep blood sugar up. Mostly proteins; cheese and crackers or peanut butter on celery between meals.

How’s her motivation to figure it out?

It’s good. She is communicating with her doctor online but it seems counterintuitive to be eating every two hours when her blood sugar crashes. She is still taking insulin first thing in the morning but that’s more about controlling high blood sugar.

Sounds pretty normal to me to be eating every few hours to keep levels up in a healthy range. There are some medications that supposedly help levels things out.
