After the Welsh "Voice of an Angel" Charlotte Church and the Celtic Woman ensemble, Irish and Welsh stuff has become a thing.

Funny, but the French are Celtic, too, and our music companies have made sure their music has been somewhat blocked from the USA so that few know of people like Edith Piaf (except since the movie La Vie En Rose), considered by many the greatest pop singer ever, or great singers like Mirielle Mathieu.  I'm sure they'd have recorded in English if the market opened up.  Piaf's songs, like La Vie en Rose was recorded in English by her, but with a weird Latin beat that didn't fit the music.  A lot of her songs were later translated to English and covered by American and British and Australian singers.
