Square Wheels Posted December 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2014 I bought myM1710 laptop from Dell 4/29/2006. My wife has been using it daily at work for the last 2 or so years. I've used it tons too. I have lots of software installed. I installed Windows 7 on it a few years ago. I spent a ton on it when I bought it, it's a 17 inch that ways about 75 pounds. By today's standards it's a tank. It doesn't have a camera, but none of my PCs do, and it's not a touchscreen, but I don't think I like those. I'm glad I bought a high end laptop 8 years ago, it still works great today.
Road Runner Posted December 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2014 ways about 75 pounds Spell Check can't catch dumbass, I guess. They don't weigh anywhere near that much when new. You must have really loaded it up with extra software.

Randomguy Posted December 29, 2014 Share #9 Posted December 29, 2014 I bought a 1735 years ago, I loved it. It finally died, I was sad. Then I bought a new laptop to replace it, the new one had Windows 8. I am even more sad now.

Square Wheels Posted December 29, 2014 Author Share #11 Posted December 29, 2014 I will not upgrade to WIndows 8 or buy a PC with 8 on it. I look at it like Vista, a version to be skipped. I just hope WIndows 9 is a big improvement.
a bunch of numbers Posted December 29, 2014 Share #12 Posted December 29, 2014 I will not upgrade to WIndows 8 or buy a PC with 8 on it. I look at it like Vista, a version to be skipped. I just hope WIndows 9 is a big improvement. MS is skipping 9 and going right to 10. I just bought myself a new Lenovo, but I'm going to run Win 7 Pro and maybe 10 when it's released. You must have really loaded it up with extra software. Software has become so bloated over the years, I'm not surprised it waid that much.
