One thing about livivng in a lake effect snow belt, wait 5 minutes and the weather will change. Yesterday's forecast called for a few snow flurries over the next 10 days. Here is this morning "updated" forecast.

 LOCATIONS...JEFFERSON AND LEWIS COUNTIES.

* TIMING...LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH OVERNIGHT THURSDAY NIGHT.

* ACCUMULATIONS...8 TO 15 INCHES TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH AN
  ADDITIONAL 4 TO 8 INCHES WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY
  NIGHT...LEADING TO STORM TOTALS OF 1 TO 2 FEET IN THE MOST
  PERSISTENT LAKE SNOWS.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH.

We will probably end up with nothing......

I'm betting it is going to pass over you... Mother Nature is cruel like that.

Won't be the first time. Hopefully it'll wind down by Thursday, I have to get my son to the airport in Syracuse as he is headed back to Alaska. Usually the worst of lake effect is between here and Syaracuse.

I know that they are calling for 1-2 on thursday and another 3-5 on saturday here... I'm betting we will not see more then 8 flakes... this winter is not going to be anything  I'm guessing...

I might as well just pack my snowshoes away for this season :(
