maddmaxx ★ Posted March 11, 2023 Share #2 Posted March 11, 2023 It's good to see that not all of the country is too uptight.
smudge ★ Posted March 11, 2023 Share #3 Posted March 11, 2023 Good for him! I like that decision. Probably a lot safer for the cattle and much less stress for them. I'm glad the people were helpful too. I like it.
Parr8hed Posted March 11, 2023 Share #4 Posted March 11, 2023 Pretty awesome. I’d say that the locals there actually enjoyed it.

Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted March 11, 2023 Share #7 Posted March 11, 2023 There’s a little town, Lincoln, in Loudoun County and they move sheep from place to place the same way. It’s popular to watch I hear.

Ralphie ★ Posted March 11, 2023 Share #11 Posted March 11, 2023 This reminds me of an Olsen Sisters tape my daughters listened to when young (ok, the whole fambly listened to it). A cattle rancher shows up at their front door and asks if they would mind if he drove his cattle through their house and out their back door. Zephyr Posted March 11, 2023 Share #12 Posted March 11, 2023 My daughter did that in Australia for 6 months. She was a drover during a severe drought where they would just move the cows constantly towards some water source or potential food source. She said it was hard work but any time they went through the towns, the townsfolk would come out to feed the drovers and bring them treats or coffee
a bunch of numbers Posted March 11, 2023 Share #13 Posted March 11, 2023 I like it. He didn't have to clean trailers, but did he have to clean the streets with a shovel?

He didn't have to clean trailers, but did he have to clean the streets with a shovel? Frontend loaders probably made quick work of the job, just like after a parade. Cars probably picked up the rest. You don't want to follow too closely behind a semi loaded with cattle going up an off ramp on the interstate.
