I dun fuked up. [bike related ]

Putting the rear derailleur on today, I got distracted by the dog giving chase to gator. Silly mutt, 7 pounds, chasing a 5 ft gator!

Anyway, I mispositioned the derailleur and when I started cranking it down the little piece of plastic that cushions and keeps the derailleur from moving got smashed a little bit

Now I can't crank it down so that it stays in position without any rotation.

I also seem to need to pull apart, clean, and regrease the rear hub. That should be pretty straight forward.

I've had 2 minor spills in the past 2 weeks, but no bike damage, and only a skinned knee/slight tear to an elbow of my baselayer.
