goldendesign Posted December 30, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 30, 2014 Putting the rear derailleur on today, I got distracted by the dog giving chase to gator. Silly mutt, 7 pounds, chasing a 5 ft gator! Anyway, I mispositioned the derailleur and when I started cranking it down the little piece of plastic that cushions and keeps the derailleur from moving got smashed a little bit Now I can't crank it down so that it stays in position without any rotation. I also seem to need to pull apart, clean, and regrease the rear hub. That should be pretty straight forward. Sorry no pics, had to run out to be to work on time. Former member Posted December 30, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 30, 2014 Glad you didn't crash. I've had 2 minor spills in the past 2 weeks, but no bike damage, and only a skinned knee/slight tear to an elbow of my baselayer.
