Breakfast

There's a small retention pond outside my office where ducks occasionally gather.  This morning there was another visitor, a hawk I think, looking for his breakfast.  While I watched the hawk dove on the ducks, who in turn dove under water to foil the hawk.  The ducks stayed on the water until the hawk took off to find an easier meal, then they swam to the edges of the pond and waddle up on the grass.

Probably get's easier once the baby ducks come along.  If the turtles don't get them first.

Oh for goodness sake, someone needs to go out there and set that raptor straight!  It is hawks and doves, not hawks and ducks.  Sheesh.
