Popular Post Ralphie ★ Posted March 24, 2023 Popular Post Share #1 Posted March 24, 2023 Stick to packaged foods! Italian water ice pulled me back from the no eating abyss. And apple juice. Ask the staff what they eat. One aide confirmed to stay far far away from the "yogurt". Avail yourself of the pictures. I had some available when ordering by tv screen. Study them closely! Some will be misleading but they were largely accurate. For instance herbed rice looked tremendous but turned oot to be the total opposite. Tread very carefully! It is hard to screw up jello, so generally considered as safe. Good luck! 4

The onion and pepper omelet was actually quite tasty though. 1

Popular Post MickinMD ★ Posted March 24, 2023 Popular Post Share #11 Posted March 24, 2023 When my father was dying of cancer plus his organs failing and his mind was getting cloudy intermittently, he was fed the blandest of possible hospital food to keep as many ions from blocking his nerve signals. But it was a losing battle and his end was coming near. One afternoon while clear-headed, he strongly complained about the awful food. I phoned a friend from Catholic Elementary School days, Christine, who owned a small, nearby diner and asked her to have a footlong hotdog with chili, mustard, onions, and cheese ready and I'd pick in up. When she learned where I was taking it, she wouldn't take my money and added some extra cheese. Dad wolfed it down with pleasure! That didn't seem to push him downhill any faster and we fed him well when he was sent home to die. Finally, one night, his mind cleared, he looked at my nurse-sister, and said, "I think it's time to check out." Final words! 3
Longjohn ★ Posted March 25, 2023 Share #12 Posted March 25, 2023 In 2021 I spent time in four horsespittles. One horsespittle I was only in two days and they didn’t feed me anything. The second horsespittle didn’t give me anything to eat until the end of the second day. When they finally brought my dinner I was bleeding and a nurse was holding direct pressure on my groin so the food sat for an hour and got cold. When I finally got to eat it it was very good. The third horsespittle always has good food but they didn’t feed me for a couple days I’m seeing a trend here. No wonder I lost fifty pounds, they were trying to starve me.
