Square Wheels Posted January 2, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2015 The mind is a mighty powerful thing. Chose not to be sick. Seriously. If you believe it, it will be true.

Yeah, that worked well for me... until I ended up in the ER with pneumonia... for the third time.

Destination Posted January 2, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 2, 2015 A fever is one way your body works to get rid of disease. Enjoy the fever. Embrace it. Let it heal you.
SuzieQ Posted January 2, 2015 Share #6 Posted January 2, 2015 You are so fortunate - you are getting all of this over right at the beginning of the year - you are going to have a fabulous year!

Hard to kick butt feeling like this...actually....feels like someone kicked my butt!! Last year I thought I had a mild cold just before Thanksgiving (and our trip to the Twin Cities). mild fever, that went away...then came back a few days later. I had a cough too. it kept that pattern: mild fever for a day, then it came back 3-4 days later. In mid-December I saw the doctor, who thought it was bronchitis, and got a z pack. I got better, but not completely well until after the first week of January. It probably didn't help that as I would get better I would bike.... jdc2000 Posted January 2, 2015 Share #11 Posted January 2, 2015 They guessed wrong again this year on what the prevalent flu strains would be, so the shot has a less than 50% chance of being effective.
