You are right, about damn time! I hope they don't screw it up somehow.
jdc2000 Posted January 7, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 7, 2015 Internet providers could easily and rapidly kill off Cable TV, Dish, and DirecTV if they provide decent content at a resaonable price. Someone will do it in the next few years. There is just too big an opportunity to pass up.
F_in Ray Of Sunshine Posted January 7, 2015 Share #4 Posted January 7, 2015 Interesting. If they made it truly "a la carte" where I got to pick which channels I got, I might actually go for it. The default ones in this package suck, though.
Chris... Posted January 7, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted January 7, 2015 After reading the details it's not that great. But a step in the right direction.
Mr. Silly Posted January 7, 2015 Share #6 Posted January 7, 2015 The $20 Sling TV base package includes ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel, ABC Family, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, TNT, CNN, TBS, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and the "best of Internet video" with Maker Studios. I can pay $20 for all the channels I don't watch (except for Adult Swim which is my easily replaced, 'wake up at 4 am and can't get back to sleep' station). Orrrrrrrr.... My cable/internet supplier can drop those stations and reduce my bill by $20/month.
