AirwickWithCheese Posted January 12, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2015 It was nice driving up to the pump and having a real choice. The smell between the 2 gasolines was also distinctive. Now it's really all the same I miss leaded gas.

AirwickWithCheese Posted January 12, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted January 12, 2015 I do miss lead, Couch. It made my little spitfire get 85 mpg and go 147 mph.

Solution TrentonMakes Posted January 12, 2015 Solution Share #8 Posted January 12, 2015 My first car was a 1970 Malibu with the 307 V8. I got it in 1988, seemingly right around the time leaded gas was being phased out (where I lived, at least). I remember buying the little bottles of lead additive when I could only find unleaded gas. I guess I don't remember enough about the different smells. Gasoline has always been something I kind of enjoy the smell of, for the first fifteen seconds or so.
