Randomguy Posted October 30, 2013 Share #3 Posted October 30, 2013 I am with you. I do not like scary movies either, just replying to be polite. I am too polite to be polite. I am trying to think of one I liked a lot. Scary Movie 3 I thought was good. Are you talking horror or monster movie? I know a good monster movie that was nice. Dirtyhip Posted October 30, 2013 Share #5 Posted October 30, 2013 I've been watching horror movies all week. Halloween is a perfect time to watch them. The Shining is my all time favorite horror movie. Motel Hell is great for a laugh. This one is totally campy.

Mr. Silly Posted October 31, 2013 Share #9 Posted October 31, 2013 I like the 'Shining' and the 1963 'Haunting' as others have mentioned. I liked the first 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. Is 'Nightmare Before Christmas' a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie? I like the movie so if it's a Halloween movie then you can add it to my list.

Olas Nah Posted October 31, 2013 Share #13 Posted October 31, 2013 I enjoyed an old TV movie called 'Dark Night of the Scarecrow' It was about a little girl and her retarded and much older friend, who saves her from a dog attack but gets blamed for it by some of the older men in the town, who chase him out into a field (where he hides inside a Scarecrow outfit), and they gun him down while he's on the pole. Naturally, over the next few days each of the men finds a Scarecrow in their field that they didn't plant, and they each meet an untimely demise. Olas Nah Posted October 31, 2013 Share #14 Posted October 31, 2013 I've typically enjoyed 'Sleepy Hollow' as my standby Halloween film though. It's not scary, but I love the mood/atmosphere of the movie.

kingtermite Posted October 31, 2013 Share #16 Posted October 31, 2013 The only two that come to mind that I really liked are "The Shining" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (original only).
