Ralphie ★ Posted January 23, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted January 23, 2015 Champion had $3800, guessed right and had bet $3799. Both challengers had $7400 and both bet it all, and both got it wrong! The champion was astounded that he squeaked through. And he is a cyclist. Alex said the $19k from yesterday is going to buy him a pretty darn nice bike.
Road Runner Posted January 23, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 23, 2015 Yep. Those people are mostly brilliant and/or have great memories, but they don't always perform well in the science of Final Jeopardy betting. But then again, it can be confusing as hell based on what the other players have and how you perceive everyone will be able to answer the final question. Now that they award second and third place prizes, it gets even more complex (assuming you would rather leave with 2K vice 1K). I guess the challengers were kind of forced to bet it all in this case, though, since they were tied, and especially if they felt good about the category..
