So is anybody snowed in?

No tales of woe, so far my house is toasty warm, we haven't lost power.

We're still not allowed to drive, but I am working at home today.

I would be most grateful if my greenhouse does not collapse.  That would make me sad.

Have you gone out and measured how deep it is?  I'm sure your greenhouse was constructed to handle quite a bit of snow load since you live in the northeast.  Also, dry snow versus wet snow. Dry snow doesn't weigh as much.  All the reports I have been hearing are that it is a dry snow.

No idea, why would I go out? :)

I stepped out a few hours ago.  My driveway had anywhere from 0 (bare pavement) to a couple of feet.  The winds are brutal.  I feel bad for the people plowing.

You should take advantage of the tailwind and go for a bike ride.   :)

Why is your greenhouse built below ground level?

It's not, that's about 6 feet of snow.

Here's a pic from inside the garage, no snow.

Here's the other site, this is about 2.5 feet deep.

Driveway before:

Driveway after.  Darn plow guy didn't show up.  It's deceiving, but that pile is about 7 feet high.  That was not fun.

I'll ask you the same question I asked The KrazyOne a couple weeks ago - Who shovels a half inch of snow?

Responsible homeowners do.  You want clear sidewalks and driveways, you clean 'em off.

damned trolls ....  :P

On the bright side, you got your exercise in and you didn't have a heart attack!

The wife did half. Funny, her half was smaller.

Why would you say this?  You had my respect and admiration when I thought you did all of that shoveling.  Now you say your wife did half of it?   :o  :(

Did you fix her a sandwich when she got done?     :scratch head:
