Johnny Come Lately Name Posted January 29, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2015 ....or "Yakity Sax".... Folks were working 50 hour weeks all last year. Monday we got told we were going to have to take every Friday in February off - on 32 hour weeks. A little while ago they told us "Nope. 40 hours..." Johnny Come Lately Name Posted January 30, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted January 30, 2015 Huh? Yeah, that's kinda' what I said, I would love to know what really happened. Sucks because I was really looking forward to having the next four Fridays off.
2Far ★ Posted January 30, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 30, 2015 So, I'ma guessing you can't work 4 x 10s & still have Fridays off? Our standard work week is 5 x 10s.

Maybe, but I have no interest in working ten hour days. I don't even want to work eight hour days. Four eights would have been sweet. (Although one of the mangers here was pissed off because when they work tens, they get an extra break - per NYS Labor Law. He wanted them to work five nines and five on Saturday so they didn't get the extra break. Asshole. Fortunately, I'm too expensive to pay time and half so I'm somewhat immune to the OT BS)
