Ralphie ★ Posted January 31, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2015 Wouldn;t it be cool to have a cook-off and brew-off between f_in Ray and Old #7? We forumites could be the tasters and judges. Oh yeah!
Airehead Posted January 31, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 31, 2015 I've been o several cooking events at Sunshine's. Oh my, some of the best food ever. Especially the rice balls-- what ever their fancy name is.

Oh yeah! We should all converge on Parr8's the last weekend in June. We can have a cook-off/potluck after the race.

F_in Ray Of Sunshine Posted January 31, 2015 Share #6 Posted January 31, 2015 I concede the brewing title without contest. My last couple have been pretty lame. I did an ESB and a Canberry Cream Ale for a party we had back in November.....not that those are styles I'm overly fond of, but hey, that's what other people like, right? No one drank them, so I've been stuck with 5 gallons of each. As for the food, well, it all depends on how good a "recipe follower" he is. If he's any good at all, I throw in the towel there, too, (And for the last damned time Airehead, they're Arancini.... : http://fxcuisine.com/default.asp?language=2&Display=9&resolution=&page=2 )

F_in Ray Of Sunshine Posted January 31, 2015 Share #8 Posted January 31, 2015 Mmm, ESB! I would have drank that!Literally thrown together from this kit :http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/the-innkeeper-limited-edition-extract-kit.html Came out OK, but not a favorite style. The Cranberry Cream Ale came out more like a cider than a beer - you get the tartness of ten cranberries and the bitterness of the hops and....not much else. Airehead Posted January 31, 2015 Share #9 Posted January 31, 2015 Well those fancy dancy arancini are delicious regardless of the beer you are making us drink!

Wouldn;t it be cool to have a cook-off and brew-off between f_in Ray and Old #7? We forumites could be the tasters and judges. Oh yeah! Crap! I thought you were going to say that Roadrunner should be awarded, "SW Forum Poster of the Year"!
