tybeegb Posted February 2, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2015 After several months of "planning", I finally finished WofTy's orb pendant light. I put the 18" orb up but it looked "lonely" and really didn't put out much light. She found two smaller orbs that weren't lights, just decorative. I had to modify them to be able to put a lightbulb in, and then wire a socket in each one. 3/4" copper tube on the down rod, 1/2" on the cross pieces, balanced of course, and a ceiling fan mount to hold it all up. The smaller orbs are real light, so I'm hoping that over time the cross pieces don't sag. And I used Just-For-Copper on the tubing joints to keep it clean. Kzoo Posted February 2, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 2, 2015 UL certified, correct? Your homeowner's insurance wants to know. And since that's hard wired to the ceiling, the permit will be calling. Nice job!
