I would rather just spend 20 and put a new motor/transmission in this one when/if it goes than to get a new one.  This is a Lariat truck.  So no top of the line, but nicely optioned.  It would be about 85-90 grand brand new.  No way in hell I would pay that for a new truck.

I agree! That is why I dropped a 4-speed floor shift into the 76 Ford F-100 and kept rebuilding motors until it was wrecked and we went with Dodge diesels.
