Dirtyhip Posted February 21, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2015 I like this place. Thanks for allowing the curse words. I can express myself fully. HAHA
Longjohn ★ Posted February 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2015 I don't mind them on here. Within reason. I don't have innocent friends reading everything I comment on in here. Facebook I have to be careful what I comment on. I know young people will hear/read this stuff eventually but I don't want to be the one to bring it to them. I have one friend on FB that I almost never comment on because of her language.
Destination Posted February 21, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 21, 2015 If such words are they only way I can express myself, I need to expand my vocabulary.
Dirtyhip Posted February 21, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted February 21, 2015 My vocabulary is quite diverse. Some words are just fun to say.
Road Runner Posted February 21, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 21, 2015 I think we regulate ourselves pretty well. Most people here use them only sparingly and then only for maximum linguistic effect. As Booger said to Tom Cruise, "Sometimes you just gotta say, "WHAT THE FUCK!!!""

Destination Posted February 21, 2015 Share #7 Posted February 21, 2015 That's cool. You're extremely articulate, DH. I don't have a problem with the occasional word. Instead, there are a few who constantly need to use the words I can't print in the newspaper. Such language, used so often, makes the speaker sound uneducated and angry. Road Runner Posted February 21, 2015 Share #8 Posted February 21, 2015 I wasn't aware that Tom Cruise was in Nerds. Booger was in "Risky Business". His name wasn't Booger, but that is always what I call him.
Dirtyhip Posted February 21, 2015 Author Share #9 Posted February 21, 2015 No anger here. Just uninhibited excite. HAHA

onbike1939 Posted February 21, 2015 Share #16 Posted February 21, 2015 You're efing welcome. Now this is what I do object to. In using these terms which signify but yet avoid a curse word, it is so important to get them right........as in "effing and blinding".

Sounds very British, too!
Dirtyhip Posted February 21, 2015 Author Share #18 Posted February 21, 2015 Articulate? Haha. You should hear me when I am tired or when I am using tons of slang. I was talkin to bsox one morning and I couldn't pronounce geography. It was kinda funny. Haha
