Randomguy Posted February 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 23, 2015 I always thought it started in Ohio, and anything east of that was the east coast, or maybe just east. I also think it ends after Iowa.

Somewhere between Rochester and Sacramento.
Nate Posted February 23, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 23, 2015 where I live, we consider Pittsburgh to be the mid west the mid west is just the part of America where liberals are pistol whipped at children's birthday parties to provide good down home entertainment and the liberal social agenda is not accepted that would be everywhere east of Manhatten and west of California
Dottleshead ★ Posted February 23, 2015 Share #4 Posted February 23, 2015 Someplace west of Boston, New York, and the west coast. Everything in between is conservative, apparently. But be forewarned, dildos in these areas are made only by Craftsman.
Nate Posted February 23, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 23, 2015 sorry, my geography was a bit off....its WEST of Manhatten and EAST of California. The area I originally described is the part of the globe that doesn't know freedom
Wilbur ★ Posted February 23, 2015 Share #6 Posted February 23, 2015 Somewhere between Rochester and Sacramento. But North of Louisiana.

Mr. Silly Posted February 23, 2015 Share #9 Posted February 23, 2015 Anything on the north of the Ohio River is Mid-west. Parts of Pittsburgh are mid-west parts are not. Minnesota south to Missouri are the western states of the mid-west.

Dottleshead ★ Posted February 24, 2015 Share #15 Posted February 24, 2015 ^^ Good map but I think of the Midwest as everything east of the Rockies and west of the Appalachains. As for the southern states, I don't care where you draw the boundary.

Mr. Silly Posted February 24, 2015 Share #17 Posted February 24, 2015 I think of the Dakotas, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma as being 'Central Plains' or just 'Plains' states. Texas is North Mexico.

Scott in MN Posted February 24, 2015 Share #19 Posted February 24, 2015 I agree with the Plains designation. Big difference in those states compared to the others. Big difference between the eastern and western sides of each of the plains states too.
Randomguy Posted February 24, 2015 Author Share #20 Posted February 24, 2015 I think of the Dakotas, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma as being 'Central Plains' or just 'Plains' states. Texas is North Mexico. This is exactly true, except they got all uppity and started calling themselves "the great plains". Not just ordinary plains or anything, you see, they are "great". Now they think they are all royalty and such, taking on pretensions and affectations generally reserved for the high-born. You have to refer to any landed folks as "your majesty" now. This is why tourism suffers there, I feel.
