AirwickWithCheese Posted February 24, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 24, 2015 I think that's a harsh assessment but it does pale compared to London Bridge is Falling Down. Nice tune you can dance to and the extra benefit of having fun at the expense of England's demise.

Destination Posted February 24, 2015 Share #10 Posted February 24, 2015 For those who have never left the city and think food comes from the store, that song is highly educational. I think it needs more verses, about Old MacDonald's friend who runs a coffee plantation in Brazil, his cousin growing bananas in Guatemala and his nephew's fiancee's father who grows passion fruit in Australia. A verse or two about the food processing industry would also help.
Randomguy Posted February 24, 2015 Author Share #11 Posted February 24, 2015 I find the song remarkably remarkable. Ha, just because you had relatives there! I mean the farm itself seems unremarkable. A farm with some farm animals, just imagine. I would think a particular farm that had hot farmer's daughters or aliens would be of greater interest to a songwriter, but I guess not.
jsharr ★ Posted February 24, 2015 Share #12 Posted February 24, 2015 The version my dad taught me did have aliens, a hot farmers daughter or three, a sausage maker, a hidden dungeon, a pit full of eels swimming in blood, some bone saws and the head of John the Baptist on a platter. We would sing it every night before I cried myself to sleep, curled up in a ball.

So change lyrics to "with a spank spank here and a spank spank there"?

Randomguy Posted February 25, 2015 Author Share #17 Posted February 25, 2015 Still more profound than 99% of what you hear on the radio. Ok, that is true. However, that crap gets replaced by other crap in a crap-rotation scheme. I think some people think it is just too difficult to rotate children's songs. I thought we all rode the short bus that Parr8 drives? Do the wheels on the short bus have to go round faster than the wheels on a long bus? Johnny Come Lately Name Posted February 25, 2015 Share #23 Posted February 25, 2015 Are any of them pointing in roughly the same direction even? I think they're like the ones on the shopping carts I get - two of them want to go shopping, one wants to go back to the parking lot and one wants to go to a different store.
