Square Wheels Posted February 26, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 26, 2015 The 80's were great for playing 60's and 70's music. OK, the 80's weren't too bad.
TrentonMakes Posted February 26, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 26, 2015 Like any decade, even the venerable 60s and 70s, there was a lot of great, timeless music and there was a lot of crap.

Ok, you started out the 80's with your Journeys and Pat Benetars and such, but then it kicked into a nice gear with massive style mutations. First came new wave, hip-hop and rap, industrial, post-ounk, then progressive near the end. Lots of variation.
Destination Posted February 26, 2015 Share #6 Posted February 26, 2015 Those of us who were growing up in the 1980s and those who were young adults then will remember older generations who believed their music from the 1950s to the early 1970s was the best. And their parents had equally strong opinions on the sounds of an earlier era. I'm not convinced the 1980s had music any better or worse than decades before or since.
