Kzoo Posted February 27, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 27, 2015 I don't know about in Texas but on Michigan roads that thing will last about 10 minutes (if driven carefully).
F_in Ray Of Sunshine Posted February 27, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted February 27, 2015 Yeah, someone posted this in response to the booger welds above and all I could think was "the guy took the good time and trouble to shear off the plate nicely......and then just gave up"

Nate Posted February 27, 2015 Share #11 Posted February 27, 2015 well, at least whoever did that took the time to do it themselves doesn't look like they took a whole lot of time, but still, they clearly didn't ask for any help Its this kind of spirit that made America great. Some great discoveries were made this way not this time, but still...at least he owns a welder and got his hands dirty I think there would even be a spot for him here at Nateland repairing rollercoasters and welding up safety barriers
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted February 27, 2015 Share #12 Posted February 27, 2015 Just one more reason I can't wait to leave Ohio. Vehicle inspection is performed at time of vehicle titling. This process involves someone at a car dealership verifying the VIN. Cost is $3. No other inspection is performed. Brakes just slow you down, working light bulbs are superfluous and tires are fine until they can no longer hold air.

OTOH, a broken sway bar will not pass NY, but ball joints that are one pothole away from failing, will.
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted February 27, 2015 Share #14 Posted February 27, 2015 Dodge Caravans and Plymouth Voyagers used to rust out around the tops of the strut towers. According to Chrysler this was not a safety issue, and they claimed the vehicles would remain drivable after the strut completely broke free and impaled itself in the hood.
