Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted March 3, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2015 The Richmond City Council voted last night to approve the Bistro and Worldgarden portion of Stone Brewing's Richmond plant. Stone is building a production facility for east coast distribution of their beers The brewery and bistro was part of that plan but was not guaranteed until last night's vote. The bistro site will be adjacent to the James River on a location that was developed many years ago to be an inland port. Opening is expected to be in late 2015 or early 2016. Their facility in Escondido CA is one of the best I have seen. I hope they do well for the city of Richmond and vice versa.
Johnny Come Lately Name Posted March 3, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2015 We were supposed to get a second iteration of Empire Brewing's brewpub, this one much more local-er for me. But the stupid village board shot it down. They're allowing a farmstead brewery, but not the brewpub.
Dottleshead ★ Posted March 3, 2015 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2015 I am glad they are on the James River. They can add further pollution to it.
