Chopped Liver Posted November 12, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 12, 2013 I think we need to focus our efforts into some sort of photo synthetic oil derived through some sort of industrial process. It's clear that hydrogen has it's issue from being highly explosive to requiring way too difficult to store and too energy consumptive to produce. PV cells are great for a house, but don't really do much for the transportation sector. We need oil, or oil like products that are highly energy dense, yet not as explosive as hydrogen......seems like veggie oil fits the bill nicely. If we could develop a process to mfg. this stuff artificially, it would free us from our dependence on dead dinosaurs.
Indy Posted November 12, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 12, 2013 Hydrogen isn't really any more explossive than gas, but the energy to produce it is the big issue.

Chopped Liver Posted November 12, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted November 12, 2013 What about using humans as batteries? I fear most of them aren't producing enough wattage.
