jsharr Posted November 15, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2013 So Ryan's school is having a book drive today. I asked Ryan if he wanted to give any books and he says "YES" and runs off to his room. He comes back with 4 books, and tells me he wants to give these books because they are his favorites. And he was right, it was four of his go to books, three Curious George books and one Magic School Bus. Our drive to school was him telling me the story line of each book and how he hoped the new child that got the booked likes it as much as he did. I love his heart. He is my reminder of what serving and giving looks like.

jsharr Posted November 15, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted November 15, 2013 Loved? I still love them. He gave The Magic School Bus and the Bat Cave and told me it would teach the new kid about science. Curious George and the Donuts would teach the kid about math.
Square Wheels Posted November 15, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 15, 2013 OK, I agree if I were to read them again, I would still love them. My youngest is 13, she's a little past Magic School bus. I have a 6 year old nephew, maybe his mom will pimp him out to me.
Olas Nah Posted November 15, 2013 Share #6 Posted November 15, 2013 Ha, I'd totally be like "Yeah, those kids aren't getting MY copies of these books, but I'll gladly shell out a few bucks to get a new copy for the other kids"

When I grow up, I want to work for fire station and burn the books, just like my dystopian future friend Guy.
