I asked at the music store if anyone made nylon drumsticks or titanium, something that would not break. They dug around in the back room and came up with a pair of nylon drum sticks. I gave them to him as a back up last resort when all the other drumsticks were broken go to. As far as I know they still exist. He mellowed out somewhat over the years.
