Dirtyhip Posted June 29, 2015 Share #10 Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) Can you imagine the confusion that is in the minds of the young lads of the neighborhood that once knew you as the sunflower lady? Now a dead garden. They got bigger and turned into hoodlems. I do have a funny from yesterday about a young lad. I was at the pump track and he was there playing with my friends kid. He was hangin around me as I watered the track. The conversation went like this: <I was standing there in my Fox knee armor> Kid: DO you like Fox? DH: Yeah, they make some good bike gear. Kid: Will you be here tomorrow? DH: No Kid: Where will you be? DH: I will be at work. Kid: Oh. When will you come back here again? DH: I don't know. Probably next Sunday night. Kid: I want to give you something. DH: Oh. Kid: I want to give you my Fox hat. DH: Don't you like it for yourself? <kid is just looking at me blankly...kind of mouth breather style> Kid: If you come back, I can bring my hat to you. DH: It will be too small for me. I am big. Kid: It has holes. My Dad had to move the holes for me. DH: Edited June 29, 2015 by Dirtyhip

Dirtyhip Posted June 29, 2015 Share #14 Posted June 29, 2015 No shit, they did before you had a garden, too. I thought you were really into the garden stuff.I was, but my biking was suffering. When I decided to race again, that meant making an effort at winning. I can't do both and work full time. Last week I rode 15 hours+.

Dirtyhip Posted June 29, 2015 Share #17 Posted June 29, 2015 He has a crush on you, so sweet. The kid had on these fake gold necklaces. I said to K..."See that kid over there with the bling? He is movin in on ya." We got a laugh out of the whole thing. Now, this comes on the heels of some ranger trying to pick me up in the morning. My gal pal was makin fun of me about it, when we got back to camp. Mr. Ranger gave me a Smokey the Bear plastic bracelet. I'm just minding my business trying to do the bike thing. I am putting out NO vibes. LOL
Longjohn ★ Posted June 30, 2015 Share #18 Posted June 30, 2015 My sunflowers are not doing well this year. It's hard to grow sunflowers under water. They are not dead, just not very big. The biggest sunflowers I grew were in 2009. Keep in mind I am 6' 5"
