petitepedal ★ Posted July 2, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2015 Lol...at the beginning she just put her hand under my back...and said "Do you ever relax?"....She said my muscles felt like a couple of ropes that would be used to tow the Queen Mary..big old tight ropes....She fixed that!!So she said exercise was for stress relief...but not relaxation...do you every truly relax? What works for you.
Airehead Posted July 2, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2015 Glad your massage was good, my run in the rain was not. I don't think I ever truly relax.
Wilbur ★ Posted July 2, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 2, 2015 One of my new neighbours is an RMT. Now I can get a massage at $30 per hour and I just have to walk across the street to her place. Now that, is awesome.
petitepedal ★ Posted July 2, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted July 2, 2015 Mine was $65....but she understands my budget and would cut me a break if I was running low on funds...She also probably worked on me a bit more than an hour...
Kirby Posted July 2, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 2, 2015 To truly relax, I need to get away from electronics including tv, cell phone and my laptop. It also helps if I'm not in the middle of a huge project at work that is haunting me and requires me to check email all weekend. Simply sitting outside reading a book that isn't too demanding, going for a walk at the nearby park or taking a drive with friends all help me relax. I find travel fun, but not always relaxing. Longjohn ★ Posted July 2, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2015 I relax when I get a massage, I also relax in my hot tub every day. Right now I just got home from work and I'm relaxing in my Lazy Boy with my feet up and my laptop on my lap and a beer in my hand. One more day of work and then off for ten days.
Pokey Posted July 2, 2015 Share #7 Posted July 2, 2015 An easy ride... Just to stretch the legs. I also like my solitude....fishing or a hike in the woods. Hanging here sometimes calms my frazzled nerves.
Pokey Posted July 2, 2015 Share #8 Posted July 2, 2015 But damn...a true deep tissue massage is wonderful.

petitepedal ★ Posted July 2, 2015 Author Share #13 Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Parr8...next year she will be 70... But she coordinates and does the liturgical dance at church and has done dance for much of her life..she also does yoga and stuff....I would not guess her as hitting 70 soon...then again I am 3 years shy of 60 myself Edited July 2, 2015 by petitepedal

kingtermite Posted July 2, 2015 Share #15 Posted July 2, 2015 My massage was great...No one else is going to ask the obvious? Did you shell out for the "happy ending"?
Dirtyhip Posted July 2, 2015 Share #16 Posted July 2, 2015 I watch comedy. That is how I try to relax. Reading helps too.I ride to clear my head, but I wouldn't say it helps me relax. My muscles are too much in motion for relaxing.
