This is how we do it in Texas

Texas  used to be part of GA, as was AL, MS, LA, etc.....the original charter was as far as it could go.

 

no, Georgia was one of the original 13 colonies. It was English territory, not Mexican. Louisiana was French Territory, but it had been sold to the US by the time Stephen F Austin got a grant bring white settlers to Texas

The original colony charter did not speicify a western boundary, thus it was all the way to the pacific....although I'm sure there are quite a few indian tribes and nations that would dispute that.

the sharr clan was recruited by William S. Peters and came to The Republic or State of Texas from Ohio in the 1840s. I think it was a state by the time we got here.
