Wilbur ★ Posted July 19, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2015 Good for you petite. Have a great time. Do some stairs ahead of time to start conditioning those legs. Downtown Seattle is hilly!

kingtermite Posted July 20, 2015 Share #11 Posted July 20, 2015 Yup! I highly recommend the drive up Mount Baker. And great idea to see it before it all falls into the ocean!I've never done this myself even, but it's on my list of things to do. Maybe it's something we can do while you are here. Mt. Baker, IMO, is the prettiest mountain in this state.

kingtermite Posted July 20, 2015 Share #14 Posted July 20, 2015 Googled up an image of Mt. Baker (as seen from Victoria B.C.). It looks a little over processed (the image that is), but you get an idea. It's probably the most snow-covered mountain.

MoseySusan Posted July 20, 2015 Share #19 Posted July 20, 2015 Skip the Space Needle and go to the Sky View Observatory at the Columbia Center downtown instead. If you like tours with funny tour guides and puns, take the Underground Seattle tour. It's both historically interesting and entertaining. We liked the history at the Klondike Gold Rush Natl' Historic Park in Pioneer Square. We also liked kayaking in the sound, riding bikes, drinking coffee, drinking beer, and sampling things in Pike Place Market.
