"Reorganized & Consolidated"

Was the message via our president, from our corporate umbrella company, on the conference call this AM.

'Just keep on keepin' on' was the best advice he had to offer.

At this stage of my life/career I'm not lookin' to ReLo to either Baton Rouge or Houston. Unless, of course, it's for killer money & perks.

I can only testify to my own experiences.  IMO they are only interested in this quarters profits and you are a piece of meat.

And if they are really good at that I would suggest you take some of your retirement money and invest in them.  Noting worse that see a company making lots of money and you sitting on the sidelines.  Well maybe there is something worse.... maybe lots worse, but you get what I'm saying.

I don't think that's the issue here:

In my experience..

Reorganized - Your department is closing.

Consolidated- Your position is being eliminated

My experience is "you're being moved to another job".  "That job will be phased out in 3 months."  "Besides you'll be retiring in less than a year and it won't hurt that much".

Thanks for the pep talk ;)

Like the difference between "committed" & "involved"

With bacon & eggs, the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed
