Dirtyhip Posted July 30, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2015 The Crux is a dream to ride. I love the fit and everything about that frame. I find myself wanting to ride that vs. the Bianchi.I can sell my Bianchi, take the cash and buy a set of light carbon wheels and just run the Crux for road stuff. I could install a set of roadie slicks to the new carbons and keep the other rims for CX. See any drawbacks about this idea? The Crux rides like a Tarmac for dirt. I just need slicks to make it faster on road.
maddmaxx ★ Posted July 30, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2015 Do it. When you love a particular bike it's doing something for you. I'm thinking you already like the feel better than your road bike. You're not a road racer and you don't worry about what they think so..................
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted July 30, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2015 Sell the Bianchi, you won't miss it and you get a second bike out of the Crux just by swapping wheelsets.

Dirtyhip Posted July 30, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted July 30, 2015 Yeah, I agree with the consensus. I ride FAST on the Crux. I struggle on the Bianchi. I see no reason to continue riding the Virata if I dislike it so. I actually have fun on the Crux.
jsharr ★ Posted July 30, 2015 Share #7 Posted July 30, 2015 First I would see if the shop can loan you a set of wheels with the road tires you plan on running to see if this is really going to do what you think it is going to do.
Ralphie ★ Posted July 30, 2015 Share #8 Posted July 30, 2015 I'm gonna be the fly in the ointment here and say that the Bianchi is a celeste classic that should be respected.
