One mile in I got a flat on the road bike - I futzed with it for a while but eventually just walked home (since I could).

Instead I put 16 miles on the MTB.

if I did the math right then that's 17 on the day.

I hate those type of tyre problems!  I must have patched one tube 3 times to get home, and then I pitched the tyre and bought Michelin Gatorbacks, which for a cheap bastard like me, was an extreme measure.
