What happened to summer?

I live in Massachusetts and New England summers tend to be short, but dawn, it's been in the 40's for the past few nights with no letup in sight.

 

I took today off and I have a lot of the windows in the house open.  It's in the low 60's in the house.  wtf?

Obama is having the whole country air conditioned so that everyone regardless of income can have the air conditioning they are entitled to

 

since this is another giveaway program, somebody set the thermostat really low. I mean, its free money, so why not?

I didn't do much this summer except have a pregnant wife and baby.  The baby isn't pregnant, btw, I just worded that funny.

People keep telling me that the prognosticators are all predicting a colder than normal winter, whatever that means.
