When I got back into cycling in 2011 at age 60, after having not cycled regularly since being a teenager with a 3-speed, the Beginners Forum at bicycling.com was a great help in orienting and guiding me to everything from adjusting derailleurs and disc brakes to developing a faster and more constant cadence uphill, level, and downhill.

For a couple years I clung to it a lot for needed support.

I hope this one helps newbies and makes their cycling less stressful and more enjoyable as I experienced.
