The siding will be a little harder to pull off.The whole roof would be required if you don't want it mismatched. Clearly the smaller original addition had it's shingles laid under the main roof, as the should have been. They would be impossible to get out now so you'd need to start at the seam where the new building is. That would look awful. Hopefully when the put the new roof on they will weave them in the valley instead of cutting them.As for the siding, is it vinyl / aluminum? Zero chance of it matching unless you've had the same siding laying around outside. How about doing the addition with something completely different?
