Airehead Posted September 10, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2015 Which is the correct way to eat it-- typewriter style (ding at the end of the row is optional) or round and round?
Road Runner Posted September 10, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2015 Any civilized being eats across in rows. The question is how many rows at once? I prefer four or five.
Further Posted September 10, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2015 Typewriter, grilled, and often while in season. The sweet corn here is already done, not enough rain.

Ralphie ★ Posted September 10, 2015 Share #7 Posted September 10, 2015 What happened? Did you determine that columns was more efficient than rows?I think so. It just feels right. I think it may be because I don't feel compelled to be as careful to leave a perfectly undisturbed border since the columns are not as uniform as the rows.Speaking of corn, can you guess a fun fact aboot corn? Ralphie ★ Posted September 10, 2015 Share #9 Posted September 10, 2015 Hell, keeping nice neat rows is most of the fun! It is visually pleasing, but going round just feels better. Because it is easier, I 'spose. The fun fact aboot corn relates to the plants.

sheep_herder ★ Posted September 11, 2015 Share #16 Posted September 11, 2015 Which is the correct way to eat it-- typewriter style (ding at the end of the row is optional) or round and round?I may eat both ways on the same ear. Too bad corn season is over in our area. We ate our last corn last week. It was brought to Miles City by a farmer from the Hardin, MT area. He has been selling very good corn in our area for several years.

TrentonMakes Posted September 11, 2015 Share #19 Posted September 11, 2015 For as long as I can remember, I eat it typewriter style - but only half the ear at a time. So at some point I will have cleaned the left half but haven't touched the right. Weird? If it's really good fresh corn I like to eat it raw. Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted September 11, 2015 Share #25 Posted September 11, 2015 It is cheaper to ship corn as bourbon than it is to ship it as whole ears. The corn takes up less room as bourbon. Just sayin'
