the garden variety...you know the onion family..not the plumbing variety...that would be leak.

Do you cook with them?  I have used them in a couple of different dishes...earlier this week I sauteed them with some broccolini and a little mushroom...

Last night, my gluten free vegetarian friend was over and we added leek to a quesadilla/pizza variation we were putting together....they were good...but I think if we had sauteed them with a few mushrooms...and then put them on...it would have been better..

I need to use them more often..a lighter ans sweeter touch than onions.
