smudge ★ Posted September 12, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 12, 2015 We lost our peach trees this past winter. We got one replacement, and the goofy thing produced 10 peaches! My husband knew he should nip them off for the benefit of the young tree, but he didn't have the heart. So we had 10 nice peaches this summer! Twelve pounds sounds yummier. petitepedal ★ Posted September 12, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 12, 2015 We had about a week..maybe 2 of Colorado peaches..that are so yummy...but that was it...they were here and gone They are so yummy. I got some nice ones at the farmer's market in Niagara Falls on my way back home last fall..they were yummy too. Here it is all about apples now...I expect to d at least 1 orchard run after my vacation.
Ralphie ★ Posted September 12, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted September 12, 2015 Do you freeze them? Nah. Just keep them in the fridge and set a few out a day to ripen. The farmer said lots of people were buying a half bushel to can and make jam and such.
