goldendesign Posted September 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2015 I have been banging my head up and down the Oracle help center for an hour to find the solution. I can't seem to make it work.I have a simple problem: I need to square PI for a Torus ring in Java. Here is the line with the problem:surfaceArea = ( 4 * Math.pow( PI, 2 ) * radiusI * radiusO );I get an error saying it needs ( double , double) but only finds doubleDo I declare PI? Like a final double PI = math.PI Any Java gurus willing to wade in and illuminate my problem?
Indy Posted September 15, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2015 I recommend sticking to straight, black java and make it strong.
Kzoo Posted September 15, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 15, 2015 I typically find that not knowing the answer to a problem will not be an impediment to me providing an answer. In this case I'll going with Indy's answer.
