Reverend_Maynard Posted September 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2013 This Sunday is the Fun Ride at Arcadia Management Area in Exeter, RI. If you're in the general area, but haven't ridden the trails at Arcadia, this is a good chance to get to know the trails without as much risk of getting lost and having to eat your riding buddies! If you need any info and/or want to meet up at some point that day, let me know.

Reverend_Maynard Posted September 23, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted September 23, 2013 I'm definitely planning on being there. We usually like to get there right when it starts so as to not drag on all day. If you want to meet at my house and carpool the rest of the way, we can do that. torch511 Posted September 23, 2013 Share #4 Posted September 23, 2013 I'm in. Sure we can meet up at your place. Will be interesting. I had my main road bike and my Stumpjumer at the shop the other day and one of the guys was like "why is your MTB seat so much lower than your road bike seat" I never got fit for the MTB, I just bought it and went. So we raised it up about 2 inches. I rode about 8 miles of fire roads and singletrack that day and I felt like my power was not fading like it usually did and I was able to keep the speed up more. I'm hoping that it was not a one time fluke. I always seemed strange to me that my performance on the trails never seemed to come close what I could do on the road, even on less technical ground. Reverend_Maynard Posted September 23, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted September 23, 2013 Interesting. I'm surprised you didn't notice that difference. Hopefully it will make a big difference. I'll PM you later to discuss details.
