Dearborn, MI

I would have to plan it, I'm several hours away, but if it was on a weekend, I could probably make it to that neck of the woods as well.

I can vouch for LW, too, but he probably wouldn't wear pants.

Michigan is a dump.  Don't go there.  Seriously.

Couch

Couch is right, MI cannot compete with the Ohio, the best place on earth.

Ohio I hate ohio state.....:nyanya:

Northern Michigan is heaven. Crystal clear streams and rivers. Brilliant blue sky. Sleeping Bear Dunes. The islands....

So much to see...and do...or not do and recharge the soul.

Ohio? Their rivers catch fire.

I haven't been there  since I was about Abi's age.....I should make that trip...maybe next year....when is a good time month wise...and where should I stay...I am guessing the old brick building on Toledo Ave in the city of Detroit...that my aunt had a tiny apartment in about 40 some years ago...is long gone...

Burned down on Devil's Night several years ago most likely.

I can vouch for Pokey's comments.

And beautiful sunsets!

That's Pyramid point to the left and the sun is setting between the Manitou islands.

There is so much more than cars.  Big trains, farm equipment, manufacturing equipment....  you are screwed.

And (at the Ford) the original bus that Rosa Parks wouldn't give up her seat on as well.

I didn't mention the Rouge River plant tour where they make F-150s; you can get Greenfield Village, the Ford Museum, and the Rouge River Plant tour as a package deal.

century is cancelled.  We have reservations at the Dearborn Inn.  Weather permitting we will fly into Ann Arbor and then go look at car stuff.  I will be searching for Charlie Burgh on Saturday at Greenfield Village.  Does anyone know what he looks like?

I know what I look like.  I look much better than Couch.

I will PM you my cell.

The photo in above previous post is at the end of Peterson Rd outside of Honor. A view of Platte Bay looking south towards Frankfort.
