jsharr ★ Posted December 5, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted December 5, 2013 I remember watching all the apartheid stuff on the news back in the day. As a child of the south, I guess I was naive and blind to all the racism around me. This really opened my eyes and helped me see everyone equally. Cannot say I have always done or always do that. But I try to and thanks in no small part to Mr. Mandela.
Olas Nah Posted December 6, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 6, 2013 I admit, I've not really ever read much about him, so other than everyone saying he was great, and his use of a Rugby team to make a movie with Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, and perhaps his long stint in prison for being an activist...., and maybe the fact that I think everyone confuses him with Morgan Freeman, I'll have to get a book on the dude to get a handle on his impact and everything. So RIP, great guy who I am not sure about what great things he did.
Road Runner Posted December 6, 2013 Share #6 Posted December 6, 2013 He seemed to carry himself with great class in spite of everything he went through.
